Caramel Apple Milkshake Recipe FAQs
How to make an apple milkshake without ice cream?
If you don’t have ice cream, you can use frozen whole milk to make your apple pie milkshake. Just freeze milk in an ice cube tray, then add the cubes to the blender.
Do you put ice in apple pie milkshakes?
Avoid adding ice to your apple pie milkshake. It waters down the taste and keeps it from reaching that crave-worthy creamy consistency of a milkshake.
How can you thicken a milkshake?
The heavy cream in this caramel apple shake helps give it a thicker texture. For an even richer milkshake, add more ice cream and make sure your blender is strong enough so you don’t need extra liquid.
Which apple is good for apple milkshakes?
Honeycrisp apples are our pick for this milkshake, but feel free to use any kind you like. Tart Granny Smith apples are great for cutting through the caramel’s sweetness.
How far in advance can I make my apple pie milkshake?
For the creamiest caramel apple pie milkshake, blend it just before serving. Making it ahead and freezing it can cause ice crystals to form. You can, however, prepare the apple pie filling up to 4 days ahead and store it in the fridge.
