Cherry tomatoes – They make up the red stripes in this 4th of July flag charcuterie board. To help them stay in place, place them cut-side down on the plate.
Pitted black olives – For the canton of the flag. Arrange your olives in a tight cluster and use similar-sized ones for a polished look.
Mini mozzarella balls – These are your white stripes. Of course, you can use other white 4th of July appetizers, but is it really a celebration without some delicious shareable cheese?
White cheddar cheese slices – The stars in the American flag charcuterie board. Softer cheeses might fall apart when you press the star cookie cutter through them.

Ingredients
- 1 cup cherry tomatoes, halved
- 1 cup pitted black olives, drained
- 1 1/2 cups mini mozzarella balls

Instructions
- Pat the black olives and mozzarella balls dry with paper towels. Arrange the black olives in the top left corner of a white serving platter, forming a tight rectangle to represent the Union of the American flag.
- Press a small star-shaped cookie cutter firmly into the white cheddar slices. Push the stars out from the back of the cutter and repeat until you have enough white stars for the flag's canton.
- Starting to the right of the olive section, create alternating horizontal rows of cherry tomatoes and mozzarella balls across the full width of the charcuterie board. Keep each row snug against the previous one.
- To finish the flag, place the white cheese stars over the olive canton. You can gently press them down to help them stay in place.
