Creamy Rotel Dip Recipe FAQs
Why do people put cream cheese in Rotel dip?
Mixing in cream cheese makes the Rotel chip dip thicker and creamier. The tangy richness also complements the zesty, spicy, and savory flavors of Rotel tomatoes!
Can I use ground beef instead of sausage?
Of course! This cream cheese Rotel dip also works with 1 pound of browned ground beef. I’ll also throw in some taco seasoning for extra flavor.
What can I use instead of Velveeta cheese in Rotel dip?
We actually skipped the Velveeta cheese for this Rotel and sausage dip. Instead, we used cream cheese in place of Velveeta for a rich and creamy dip.
Do I drain the Rotel?
Nope. You donโt need to drain the can of Rotel when making this easy Rotel dip recipe. Adding the juices to the dip actually helps give it the perfect consistency.
Can Rotel dip be left out?
Yes, but since itโs made with dairy, which can spoil easily, itโs best not to leave your Rotel sausage dip out for more than 2 hours.
