Ingredients
DONUT INGREDIENTS:
All-purpose flour – We used all-purpose flour for light, tender donuts. Cake flour and gluten-free flour may also work, but we haven’t tested them yet.
Baking powder and baking soda – To help our homemade baked donuts rise and keep them from turning dense.
Salt and vanilla extract – They really bring out the full indulgence of these Krispy Kreme Snickers donuts.
Melted unsalted butter and vegetable oil – This baked Krispy Kreme donut recipe uses both oil and butter for soft, moist donuts every single time.
Granulated sugar – Just enough to sweeten the donuts themselves.
Eggs – For binding the ingredients together.
Milk – Helps thin out the batter and ensure soft, tasty doughnuts!
Salted peanuts – We love salted peanuts for that crunchy, salty surprise in every bite.
Baking spray – A must-have when making baked donuts with a donut pan.
SALTED CARAMEL INGREDIENTS:
Granulated sugar – This homemade Krispy Kreme doughnuts recipe includes a quick, from-scratch salted caramel topping, but store-bought works just as well if you need a shortcut.
Unsalted butter – That rich, buttery taste is what makes homemade salted caramel truly irresistible!
Heavy cream – For an extra-rich and creamy caramel.
Sea salt – Salt always makes all the difference in gooey caramel!
CHOCOLATE GANACHE INGREDIENTS:
Chocolate chips and heavy cream – Snickers lovers will go crazy for this quick donut recipe, especially with that thick chocolate ganache on top.

Tips For Making This Recipe
Measure Your Flour Correctly
For perfectly soft baked donuts, use the spoon-and-level method when measuring your flour. Scooping directly with a measuring cup can add too much flour, leading to dense, dry donuts!
Cool the Donuts Before Decorating
Don’t decorate until your baked donuts are fully cooled, or they may crumble when dipped into the ganache.
Add Actual Snickers
Go all out and top your donuts with actual pieces of Snickers plus more caramel sauce!

Snickers Donut Recipe FAQs
What’s the easiest way to fill a donut pan?
This is the best donut recipe for beginners because you can easily fill the donut pan with a Ziploc bag. Just pour in the batter, cut an inch off the bag’s tip, and pipe the batter into each donut pan cavity.
Do baked donuts taste the same as fried donuts?
Baked donuts don’t taste exactly like fried donuts. They’re cake-like and lighter, while fried donuts are richer and fattier. You can brush your homemade baked donuts with melted butter for that same fried-donut richness!
What are the common mistakes when baking donuts?
The biggest baked donut mistakes are overmixing, which makes the donuts dense, not greasing the pan, which makes them stick, and overfilling the donut pan, which leads to odd donut shapes.
How do you remove the doughnuts from the tin?
After baking, let the Snickers donuts cool in the pan for a few minutes. Then, just use a knife to gently loosen them from the pan.
Can baked doughnuts be frozen?
Yes, but only freeze your baked donuts before decorating. Once cooled, just store them in a freezer-safe bag for up to 2 months, separating layers with parchment paper to prevent sticking. To use, thaw in the fridge overnight and bring to room temperature for 30 minutes before decorating.
