Ninja BL660 Professional Countertop Blender
Now, this blender comes from one of the biggest names in blenders.
What’s more, this particular blender is a prominent bestseller with the leading online retailers and has received phenomenal customer ratings on Amazon.
It has a full 5-star rating even after well over 33,000 individual ratings!
The Ninja BL660 is one of the most powerful countertop blenders we have tested, coming in at a whopping 1100 watts, making puréeing a breeze.
It’s such a powerful blender, in fact, that it can even crush ice.
It comes with two speeds (high and low) and it features pulse control technology. This means that you can adjust the speed and duration of your blending process.
It also includes a stainless steel blade, which makes chopping vegetables or fruits easier than ever before.
The Ninja BL660 also has a large feed tube that allows you to add ingredients without having to use a funnel. All the parts are entirely BPA-free, and the removable parts are said to be dishwasher safe.
Our personal experience with the Ninja BL660:
We used the Ninja BL660 to purée some parsnips, carrots, sweet potatoes, apples, and bananas. (Not all at the same time, of course.)
We found that it was quite easy to blend these items using the high setting.
However, if you want to make sure that your food is completely blended, you might want to use the lower speed instead.
Afterward, we washed the parts in our dishwasher and can confirm that they are dishwasher safe.
Pros
- Powerful 1100 watt blender
- Easy to clean
- Stainless steel blade
- BPA-free
Cons
- Premium product at a premium price

It comes with a high-performance motor, a powerful 700-watt motor, a wide feed tube, and a 2-year warranty.

Our personal experience using the NutriBullet ZNFB30500Z blender combo:
We used the NutriBullet ZN BF3050Z to purée some parsley, spinach, celery, cucumber, and apple. We found that it took under 10 minutes to blend all of these items.
However, if we wanted to make sure that our food was completely mixed, we would recommend using the slowest speed.
After washing the parts in our dishwashers, we can confirm that they are indeed dishwasher safe.
Pros
- 700 Watt Motor
- Wide Feed Tube
- 2-Year Warranty
- Dishwasher Safe Parts
Cons
- Premium product at a premium price
Cuisinart BFP-703BC Smart Power Duet Blender/Food Processor
Now, this blender from top brand Cuisinart has been awarded the title of Amazon’s Choice for “blender for puréeing food”.
Such a title is only given to products that are both of excellent quality and are also available at a good and reasonable price.
This particular model is made specifically for puréeing food, but it does so much more than just that. It can chop, dice, slice, grind, mince, mix, whip, and knead dough!
You can choose between three different sizes; small, medium, and large. All of them come with variable speeds.
They also feature pulse control technology. You can also choose between two different blades; the standard blade and the chopper blade.
The chopper blade is perfect for grating cheese or zesting citrus fruit. Saves having to use those handheld gadgets!
And while it may only be 500 watts, with its special technology it’s even powerful enough to crush ice.
Our personal experience using the Cuisinart BFP-706BC:
We started by puréeing an apple. Afterward, we chopped up some celery and cucumber. Then we added some ginger and garlic.
Finally, we mixed in some cilantro and basil.
We were able to do all of this with ease using the medium setting. However, when we wanted to get really fine, we had to switch to the highest setting.
The Cuisinart BFP706BC came with a cleaning brush, and we cleaned everything thoroughly after each use. Everything except the motor itself. That part isn’t dishwasher safe.
We did find that we needed to wash the lid separately, but that wasn’t an issue.
Pros
- Highly versatile
- Variable speeds
- Pulse control technology
- Dishwasher safe parts
- Comes with cleaning brush
Cons
- Only 500W
- Does not include storage container
- Premium product at a premium price
- Not as powerful as the Ninja BL660
Hamilton Beach 58148A Blender
Here we have another blender from another top brand, this time Hamilton Beach. This is another prominent bestseller with the leading online retailers.
And on Amazon, it’s been selling almost as well as the Ninja BL660, where there were well over 30,000 individual customer ratings and an average customer rating of an impressive 4 and a half stars.
What’s more, it’s significantly more affordable than the Ninja BL660. This particular model comes with a lengthy 2-year warranty.
So if something goes wrong, you’re covered. It’s also dishwasher safe, which makes it easy to keep your kitchen looking nice and tidy.
But what sets this blender apart from others? Well, aside from its great reviews, it has a few features that make it stand out.
For starters, it comes with a built-in storage container. It’s large enough to hold about 3 cups of liquid.
You don’t need to buy any extra containers. Next, it comes with a locking lid. This means that you won’t accidentally spill anything.
Then, there’s the Wave Action System, which continuously pulls your mixture down into the blades, so everything gets thoroughly puréed, and you don’t get any lumps.
And finally, it offers 700 watts of power, which is enough to crush ice.
Our personal experience with the Cuisinart BFP-703BC:
We started off by making a smoothie. We used frozen strawberries, bananas, blueberries, and coconut water.
Afterwards, we blended in some spinach leaves and kale.
Finally, we added some pineapple juice and honey.
Again, we were easily able to blend everything together without any issues. The only thing was that we couldn’t get the consistency quite right.
However, once we switched to high speed, things got much better.
The Cuisinart BFP-703BC came with a cleaning tool, and we cleaned everything properly after every use.
The only downside here is that it doesn’t come with a storage container. But since it’s dishwasher safe, you can just rinse everything under hot water.
Pros
- Locking lid
- Wave action system
- 700 watt motor
- Easy pour spout
Cons
- Doesn’t come with a storage jar
- Only 500 watts
Buying Guidance
Here’s what to look out for when shopping for a blender for puréeing,
Although some blenders have a purée button on the front of the device, they don’t always, even if they are capable of puréeing foods.
In which case, you need to look out for other characteristics instead…
You need to select one with sufficient power, with at least 500 watts, but preferably more.
We also recommend buying from brands you’ve already heard of because they have a reputation to maintain.
If you are cooking for several guests or if you are preparing food ahead of time to freeze and reheat when needed, then you need to ensure that the blender has enough capacity.
You should check prices as you go along, so you can see whether each blender falls within your budget.
Wrap Up
Finding the right blender for your needs is easy when you know how, and our tips and reviews should be a great help to you.
Our absolute favorite blender for puréeing foods has to be the Ninja BL660 Professional Countertop Blender.
But if that’s too far out of your budget, then we would recommend the Hamilton Beach 58148A Blender, which is significantly more affordable but purées food equally well.
