WANT TO SAVE THIS RECIPE?
You know what? The only nut butters available at the corner store are typically chock-a-block full of sugars and unnecessary additives that aren’t always good for you, especially if you have a blood sugar problem.
But nuts and seeds can pack a whole lot of nutritional benefits, and it would be a shame to miss out on that just because you don’t like the texture.
The easy solution is to invest in a suitable blender so that you can make your own nut butters right at home, so you know exactly what’s gone into it, so it’s unprocessed and wholesome.
We’ve been checking out and testing some of the best blenders for nuts and seeds on the market, and we’ll be sharing our reviews with you here today.
Our reviews are unbiased and contain both pros and cons.
Here goes!
JAWZ High Performance Blender
Now, as you can see from the photo, this is a blender that has been designed with nuts, seeds, and nut butter in mind.
The Jawz High Performance Blender is a bestseller with the leading online retailers, where it has been met with excellent customer ratings and reviews.Â
It’s available in three options, namely the variable speed model, the toggle switch model, or the precision touch model. This review is for the variable speed model, which is the mid-priced version.
This blender features 10 different speed settings, which you can set using the dial on the front of the device.
It comes with an impressive list of features, including a high-performance motor, a powerful motor speed setting, and a large capacity bowl.
And it features a vortex blending motion, which is perfect for making hummus and nut butters. It’s easy to use thanks to its intuitive design, and it’s got a handy cord storage feature too.
This blender is made of stainless steel, making it sturdy enough to withstand heavy use. And it comes with a lengthy 3-year warranty, so you’re covered if anything does go wrong.
Our personal experience with the JAWZ:
We decided to test it by making a nut butter. What we did was add 2 cups of almonds, 1 cup of cashews, and 1/2 cup of macadamia nuts to the blender.
Then we pressed start and let it run for about 30 seconds before stopping it. We then added a few drops of vanilla extract and stirred until smooth.
Then we tasted the result and were pleasantly surprised by how delicious it was.
So, overall, we think this is one of the most versatile blenders on the market, and we highly recommend it.
Pros
- Sturdy construction
- It’s easy to clean
- Variable speed control
Cons
- Not dishwasher safe
- No ice crushing capabilities
Vitamix Professional Series 750 Blender
Vitamix is one of the top brands in the industry when it comes to high-performance blenders. And if it wasn’t for the hefty price tag, we would have made this one our number one pick.
It features hardened stainless steel blades which are perfect for cutting through tough ingredients such as nuts and seeds and blending them, without risk of long-term damage and dulling of the blades.
In fact, it will actually grind the nuts for you, which saves you from having to buy a nut grinder separately.
This blender is very easy to use, with 5 pre-programmed settings, including ones for smoothies, frozen desserts, soup, and purée recipes.
It also offers variable speed control, and also offers a pulse motion which helps to maneuver foods from higher in the pitcher down towards the blades at the bottom.
The Vitamix Professional Series 750 Blender is very durable and is built to really last.
You can buy it in black or pearl gray, and you can also buy it with several compatible accessories.
Our personal experience using the Vitamix Professional Series 750:
This time we used the Vitamix Professional Series 750 to make a different nut butter.
What we did was add 2 teaspoons of chia seeds, 1 teaspoon of flaxseeds, and 1 tablespoon of sunflower seeds to the blender. Then we pressed start and let the machine do all the work.
After about 20 minutes, we stopped the machine and strained out any remaining solids. Then we mixed in some water and stirred until smooth. Finally, we tasted the result and found that it was delicious.
Pros
- Very powerful motor
- Durable construction
- Great value for money
- It’s easy to clean
- Can be purchased in a choice of colors
Cons
- Premium product at a premium price
- Doesn’t feature ice crusher capabilities
NutriBullet ZNBF30500Z Blender Combo
As you may already know, Nutribullet is a top brand when it comes to blenders, and they have a very wide range of blenders and accessories.
But this particular blender set has been awarded the title of Amazon’s Choice in the category of Countertop Blenders by NutriBullet.
Such a title is only given to products that are both of excellent quality and are also available at a good and reasonable price.
It’s a prominent bestseller and has been met with excellent customer ratings and reviews. What makes it stand out against other NutriBullet blenders is that it’s super powerful at 1,200 watts.
It has sharp stainless steel blades that enable it to blend nuts and seeds without dulling the blade in the long term.
It’s very easy to use, and there are only 5 settings to be concerned about.
There’s your usual low, medium, and high-speed settings, and there is also a pulse setting, which is great for moving the mixture around so that yet-to-be-blended foods can get down to the blades at the bottom.
The accompanying pitcher features measurements on the outside, which is super handy when following recipes.
And the pitcher is 100% dishwasher safe, making the cleanup afterward an absolute breeze.
Our personal experience using the NutriBullet ZNBF30500Z:
We used the NutriBullet ZNBF30500Z to make another nut butter. This time, however, we replaced the almond milk with coconut milk.
We followed the same procedure as before, adding all the ingredients into the blender and pressing start.
After running for a couple of minutes, we stopped the machine and poured the resulting paste through a strainer.
We then mixed in some honey and left it to sit overnight in the fridge.
The next day, we scooped out the hardened nut butter and enjoyed it straight from the jar. It tastes just like peanut butter. I have to say we were very impressed.
Pros
- Powerful motor
- Sharp blades
- Easy to clean
Cons
- Small pitcher
- Limited storage space
Brandless Pro-Blender
I bet you didn’t know there was a brand called Brandless. Well, now you do. It may not be particularly well known just yet, but that’s because it only became available in 2021.
And although there aren’t a whole lot of customer reviews around for it yet, the customer feedback has been very positive so far.
It’s a very powerful machine, at 1,500 watts, which is about 2 horsepower.
It features 6 super sharp stainless steel blades which make very light work of grinding through the likes of nuts, seeds, and so forth.
It also features excellent suction power, which is perfect for getting those lumpier bits higher up the pitcher down to those blades at the bottom.
And there are nine different speeds to choose from, so you can easily get any dish to the perfect consistency for your tastes.
We also love the fact that it’s self-cleaning. All you have to do is add soap and water to your Pro-Blender, turn it on for 30 seconds, rinse, and let it air-dry.
Our personal experience using the Brandless Pro-Blender:
Once again, we made our batch of homemade nut butter.
We started off by placing all the ingredients into the pitcher, turned on the machine, pressed start, and waited until everything had come together.
Then we added some honey and stirred it around. Once again, this took about 15 minutes to complete.
Then we poured the resulting paste through the strainer and placed it in the refrigerator overnight.
The next morning, we scooped out what was left of the nut butter and enjoyed it right away.
This time, though, we found that it tasted much better than the first batch. Maybe it’s because we’ve got more practice making nut butter? Either way, we’re really happy with how it came out.
Pros
- Self-cleaning
- Very powerful motor
- Sharp blades
Cons
- No storage space for large batches
- Limited number of cups
- Premium product at a premium price
Wrap Up
So, there are some really great blenders for nuts and seeds on the market.
Our favorite has to be our number one pick, the JAWZ High Performance Blender, because it offers excellent performance (as the name suggests).
But is also available at a much more affordable price than a lot of the other blenders of its ilk out there.
