(Budget-Friendly Recipe!)

Ingredients:

– 1 ½ cups all-purpose flour – ½ cups granulated sugar – 3. tbp salted butter (grated) – ½ tsp baking powder – ½ tsp ground nutmeg – ¼ cup evaporated milk (or condensed milk) – 1 large egg – Peanut or sunflower oil for deep frying

HOW TO MAKE:

Add grated butter to dry ingredients and blend with fingers until crumbly.

HOW TO MAKE:

Whisk eggs and condensed milk in a separate bowl.

HOW TO MAKE:

Pour wet ingredients into dry ingredients, mix, and knead into a dough.

Wrap dough in cling film and refrigerate for 10 minutes.

Roll out dough to 1.5-2 cm thick, cut into strips, then squares.

Fry at 350ºF until golden brown (3-4 minutes).

Transfer to a paper towel-lined tray to absorb excess oil. Serve.
