Spooky Rice Krispie Treats Recipe FAQs
Could you use marshmallow fluff instead of melting down marshmallows?
No. These Halloween treats only work with melted marshmallows. They won’t be able to hold their shape with marshmallow fluff.
Is there a substitute for marshmallows in Rice Crispy treats?
Weโve only made these fall Rice Krispie treats with marshmallows, but Iโve seen versions that use a mixture of peanut butter and honey as the binder.
What are some common mistakes when making Rice Krispie treats?
These pumpkin Rice Krispie treats can turn hard if the marshmallows are overcooked. Be sure to also use fresh marshmallows, since stale ones wonโt be sticky enough.
Why are my Rice Krispie treats hard?
These Halloween Rice Krispies may come out hard if you overcook the marshmallows, add too much cereal, or donโt use enough marshmallows.
Should Rice Krispie treats be refrigerated?
You donโt have to refrigerate these Halloween desserts. You can store them at room temperature in an airtight container for up to 4 days.
