Instructions

  • Rinse the strawberries and pat them dry with paper towels. Set aside to make sure they're completely dry before coating.
  • Melt the white chocolate until smooth. For convenience, just pop the white chocolate in the microwave and melt in 30-second bursts at regular power, stirring between each, until smooth.
step 2 red white and blue strawberries
  • Hold each strawberry by its stem, then dip it into the melted white chocolate. Let the excess coating drip back into the bowl for a few seconds.
  • Place the dipped strawberries on a parchment-lined baking sheet. Let them set completely, about 20 minutes.
step 3 red white and blue strawberries
  • Melt the candy melts separately according to package instructions. Transfer each melted candy melt into its own ziplock bag. Press out the air, seal, and snip a small corner.
  • Drizzle the melted blue candy over the white chocolate coated strawberries in a quick back-and-forth motion.
step 6 red white and blue strawberries
  • Follow with the melted red candy in the same motion. While the drizzles are still wet, scatter patriotic sprinkles over the strawberries.

Notes

  • Make sure your strawberries are completely dry before dipping them in chocolate, as any moisture can prevent the coating from sticking properly. Gently pat them dry with paper towels, place them on a clean kitchen towel, and then let them air-dry for at least 15 minutes.
  • Have everything ready before you begin! Arrange the strawberries on the parchment-lined baking sheet, place the bowl of sprinkles nearby, and transfer the melted candy melts into their piping bags. This way, you can work quickly and ensure the sprinkles will adhere to the coating before it sets.
