Instructions

  • Rinse the strawberries and pat them dry with paper towels.
  • Melt the white chocolate until smooth. You can use either a double boiler or a microwave.

  • Dip each strawberry into the melted white chocolate.

  • Let the excess chocolate drip, and place the dipped strawberries on a cookie sheet lined with parchment paper. Allow their coating to set.
  • Melt the candy melts according to package instructions.
  • Drizzle the melted blue candy over the chocolate-coated berries. You can use Ziploc bags for the candy melts.

  • Drizzle the melted red candy over the strawberries. Decorate with patriotic sprinkles before the drizzles harden.

  • Allow the red white and blue strawberries to set before serving. You can chill them in the fridge for 30 minutes to make it quicker.

Notes

  • The chocolate coating won't stick if the strawberries aren’t completely dry after rinsing. Air-dry them before dipping.
  • Microwave your white chocolate for 30 seconds at 50% power, stir, and repeat until it's mostly melted. Stir to completely melt the remaining bits of white chocolate.
  • Another way to make these red white and blue strawberries is to leave some red visible at the top when you dip the berries in white chocolate. For the blue, dip the white chocolate covered strawberries in blue sprinkles or blue sugar.
