STOVETOP LASAGNA SOUP

Ingredients:

– ½ pound ground beef – ½ pound sweet Italian sausage – 4 tablespoons tomato paste – 5 cups chicken broth – 14.5 ounces can crushed tomatoes – 14.5 ounces can diced tomatoes, undrained – 1 yellow onion, diced – 3 cloves garlic – ½ teaspoon salt – 1 teaspoon sugar – 1 teaspoon dried oregano – 1 teaspoon dried basil – 1 pinch red pepper flakes – ¼ teaspoon ground black pepper – 1 teaspoon hot sauce, optional – 1 bay leaf – 6 lasagna noodles – ½ cup parmesan cheese, finely grated – 1 cup mozzarella cheese, shredded – 8 ounces ricotta cheese – Fresh parsley, roughly chopped for garnish

HOW TO MAKE:

Brown ground beef and sweet Italian sausage in a large soup pot. Add diced onion and sauté until translucent, then drain off excess fat if needed.
