Christmas Reindeer Cookies
Ingredients
FOR THE SUGAR COOKIES:
- 1 cup unsalted butter
- 1 tsp vanilla extract
- 1 1/2 cup powdered sugar
- 3 cups all-purpose flour
- 1/4 tsp salt
- 1 tsp baking powder
- 5 tbsp milk
FOR THE ICING:
- 2 cups powdered sugar
- 2 tbsp warm water
- 1 1/2 tbsp meringue powder
- 1 tsp vanilla extract
- Brown liquid food color
- Green M&Mโs
Instructions
FOR THE SUGAR COOKIES:
- Combine the butter, vanilla extract, and powdered sugar in a large mixing bowl. Beat with an electric mixer until smooth and creamy.
- Add the flour, salt, and baking powder. Pour in the milk one tablespoon at a time and mix until a dough forms.
- Chill the dough in the refrigerator for at least 1 hour or up to overnight.
- Preheat the oven to 350ยฐF and line your baking sheet with parchment paper.
- Roll out the chilled dough to about 1/4 inch thick. Use a large round cookie cutter to cut out the shapes.
