  • Gather all the ingredients for your smoky carrot dip.
  • Heat olive oil in a pan over medium heat. Add the chopped onions and cook for about 5 minutes, or until soft.

  • Stir in the cinnamon and cumin, then cook for a few minutes until fragrant. Add the carrots and cook for about 15 minutes, until soft and lightly caramelized.

  • Let the carrots cool slightly, then transfer them to a food processor along with the hazelnuts, orange juice, orange zest, tomato paste, olive oil, parsley, ginger, and red pepper flakes.

Notes

  • If you want to make your carrot dip extra smoky, feel free to add smoked paprika and cayenne pepper!
  • If your smoky carrot dip ends up too thick, just add more olive oil to loosen it up. You can start with 1 tablespoon at a time!
  • You can use a food processor, but you'll get a smoother, creamier consistency in a blender!
