  • Gather the ingredients.
  • Preheat the oven to 350°F and line your baking sheet with parchment paper.
  • In a bowl, combine the sausage and cream cheese.

  • Add the shredded cheddar cheese and mix.

  • Scoop out the sausage mixture and form each piece into 1-inch balls. Place them on the parchment-lined baking sheet. The yield of this recipe will depend on how large you make your cream cheese sausage balls!

  • Once chilled, bake the sausage balls with cream cheese in the preheated oven for 22 to 25 minutes. Once they're firm and golden brown, they're done. You can also insert a thermometer into the center of a ball to see if it has reached 160°F.

Notes

  • Even if the sausage mixture gets sticky, don’t add more baking mix! Just use an electric mixer with a dough hook to make mixing easier.
  • Chill the sausage balls with cream cheese to keep them from spreading too much and getting burnt at the bottom.
  • You can keep the leftover sausage balls in an airtight container in the fridge for up to 4 days. To serve, reheat them in the microwave at 30-second intervals until heated through.
