Gather the ingredients.
Preheat the oven to 350°F and line your baking sheet with parchment paper.
In a bowl, combine the sausage and cream cheese.
Add in the baking mix and stir until combined.
Add the shredded cheddar cheese and mix.
Scoop out the sausage mixture and form each piece into 1-inch balls. Place them on the parchment-lined baking sheet. The yield of this recipe will depend on how large you make your cream cheese sausage balls!
Pop the hot sausage balls in the fridge for 10 minutes.
Once chilled, bake the sausage balls with cream cheese in the preheated oven for 22 to 25 minutes. Once they're firm and golden brown, they're done. You can also insert a thermometer into the center of a ball to see if it has reached 160°F.
Garnish with chopped parsley. Serve the sausage balls with a side salad or dip.
- Even if the sausage mixture gets sticky, don’t add more baking mix! Just use an electric mixer with a dough hook to make mixing easier.
- Chill the sausage balls with cream cheese to keep them from spreading too much and getting burnt at the bottom.
- You can keep the leftover sausage balls in an airtight container in the fridge for up to 4 days. To serve, reheat them in the microwave at 30-second intervals until heated through.
