Ingredients

Instructions

  • Press a small star-shaped cookie cutter firmly into the pear slices to create star shapes.
  • Add the pear stars, blueberries, and sliced strawberries to a pitcher.
  • Pour in the white wine, vodka, lemonade, and blueberry simple syrup. Stir gently to combine without crushing the fruit.
  • Cover the pitcher and refrigerate for at least 30 minutes. The longer the red, white, and blue sangria sits, the more the fruit flavors infuse into the wine.
  • When ready to serve, pour in the sparkling water and gently stir from the bottom. Serve in glasses garnished with extra fruit, if desired. Enjoy!

Notes

  • The wine and vodka help balance the sweetness of this blueberry lemon sangria, but you can easily turn it into a red, white, and blue mocktail by replacing them with apple juice and white grape juice.
  • Whether you’re serving this for Memorial Day or the Fourth of July, always add the sparkling water just before serving. A flat sangria is a sad sangria!
  • Festive Fourth of July cocktails call for equally fun appetizers. Serve this red, white, and blue sangria alongside a creative patriotic charcuterie board for a fully coordinated spread, or pair it with refreshing 4th of July fruit kabobs to beat summer's heat.
