  • Combine the cream cheese, half of the sour cream, and 1 package of taco seasoning until smooth.

  • Spread the mixture in the bottom of a deep round plate.

  • Cook the ground beef in a skillet over high heat until brown. Drain and season with the remaining package of taco seasoning.
  • Spread the ground beef over the cream cheese layer.

  • Top the ground beef with salsa and diced green chiles.

  • Sprinkle 1 cup of shredded cheese over the salsa.

  • Spread guacamole over the cheese.
  • Transfer the remaining sour cream to a Ziploc bag. Snip off one corner and pipe it over the guacamole to create a web pattern.

  • Arrange diced tomatoes, remaining shredded cheese, more green chiles, and black olives around the dip.

  • Feel free to place clean plastic spiders on top of your Halloween taco dip to complete its look. Serve with tortilla chips and enjoy!

Notes

  • Instead of topping your spider web taco dip with a fake spider, why not get creative with black olives? Just place a whole black olive in the center of the web and cut another olive into thin strips for the spider's legs.
  • You can use store-bought guacamole in this Halloween taco dip if you're short on time, but nothing beats homemade. Just combine mashed avocados with salt, pepper, garlic, and lemon juice.
  • To keep your spooky 7-layer taco dip from getting watery, make sure to drain your salsa and green chiles before assembly!
