Instructions

  • Line a baking sheet with parchment paper and set aside.
  • Add the Oreos to a food processor and crush into fine crumbs. Transfer them to a bowl.

  • Add the cream cheese and mix until fully combined.

  • Form 1-inch balls with the Oreo and cream cheese mixture. You can use a cookie scoop or a tablespoon to portion and roll them into balls. Arrange them on the prepared baking sheet.

  • Freeze the balls for 20 to 30 minutes.
  • Break the chocolate bars into pieces and place them in a microwave-safe bowl.
  • Microwave at 50% power for 30 seconds, then stir. Return the bowl to the microwave.
  • Continue melting the chocolate at 50% power in 15-second increments, stirring between each, until the green chocolate is smooth and fully melted.

  • Using a fork, dip each Oreo truffle into the melted chocolate, tapping the fork on the edge of the bowl to remove any excess chocolate.
  • Place the coated truffles back onto the prepared baking sheet and repeat with the rest.
  • Top the Grinch Oreo balls with a heart sprinkle. Let them set, and they’re ready to enjoy!

Notes

  • I recommend using a food processor to crush the Oreos. You can crush them manually in a Ziploc bag with a rolling pin, but a food processor makes it much easier to get fine crumbs.
  • Use full-fat cream cheese for Grinch Christmas truffles that stay creamy and hold their shape well!
  • Make sure to freeze the Oreo Christmas balls! Otherwise, they won’t hold up when you dip them in chocolate.
