CINNAMON BREAD

Ingredients:

FOR THE APPLE FILLING – 1/3 cup granulated sugar – 1 tsp cinnamon – 3 cups apples, peeled and diced – 1 tbsp lemon juice – 1 cup cheddar cheese, shredded

FOR THE CRUMB FILLING – 3/4 cup all-purpose flour – 1/2 cup brown sugar – 4 tbsp unsalted butter – 1/4 tsp maple extract FOR THE ICING – 1 cup powdered sugar – 1 tbsp milk – 1 tbsp unsalted butter – 1/8 tsp maple extract

Ingredients:

FOR THE DOUGH – 4 cups all-purpose flour – 1/3 cup granulated sugar – 2 packets active dry yeast – 3/4 tsp salt – 1/2 cup water – 1/2 cup buttermilk – 4 tbsp unsalted butter – 2 large eggs – 1 large egg white, beaten – 1 tbsp water

HOW TO MAKE:

Combine granulated sugar, cinnamon, chopped apples, and lemon juice. Toss until coated.

Mix flour, brown sugar, butter, and maple extract until crumbly.

HOW TO MAKE:

Combine flour, granulated sugar, yeast, and salt in stand mixer. Heat water, buttermilk, and butter to 125°F. Add to dry ingredients.

Beat until combined, then add eggs and flour until dough forms. Knead until smooth and elastic, then let rest for 15 minutes.

Roll dough into rectangles and place on sheets.
