Ingredients:

– 1 1/2 lbs russet potatoes, peeled and cubed – 1/3 cup half and half – 8 tbsp unsalted butter – 1/2 tsp salt – 1/4 tsp ground black pepper – 1/2 tsp garlic powder – 1/4 cup parmesan cheese – Non-stick cooking spray for the crockpot

HOW TO MAKE:

Brown the beef in a skillet with herbs and seasonings for 6 to 8 minutes, breaking it apart and stirring occasionally. Drain excess grease.

HOW TO MAKE:

Stir in garlic and Worcestershire sauce, cook for 1 minute.

HOW TO MAKE:

Add tomato paste and flour, mix until clump-free.

HOW TO MAKE:

Pour in broth, add frozen vegetables, bring to a boil, then simmer for 5 minutes until thickened.

HOW TO MAKE:

Meanwhile, boil potatoes until tender.

HOW TO MAKE:

Mash potatoes with other ingredients.

HOW TO MAKE:

Pour beef mixture into the bottom of a crockpot.

What to serve with it?

For me, the savory dish pairs well with crusty baguette slices smeared with butter. Garlic mushrooms will also taste amazing, especially with the mashed potato layer and beef stew.
