MAC & CHEESE COPYCAT RECIPE

Ingredients:

– 2 cups elbow macaroni – 1/4 cup + 1/2 stick salted butter – 1/4 cup all-purpose flour – 2 1/2 cups whole milk – 3 cups Colby-Jack cheese, shredded – Salt to taste – Extra salt for pasta water – Black pepper to taste – Parsley for garnish

HOW TO MAKE:

Cook macaroni until al dente, drain.

Melt butter, add flour, salt, pepper, cook roux 2 mins. Gradually add milk, stirring until smooth.

Cook sauce until thickened, stir continuously. Add 2.5 cups cheese, stir until smooth.

Mix in cooked macaroni.

Transfer to casserole dish or cast iron pan.
