CHAI SUGAR COOKIES

Ingredients:

– 2¼ cups all-purpose flour – 1 tsp baking powder – ½ tsp baking soda – ¼ tsp ground cinnamon – ½ tsp salt – Pinch of black pepper – ¼ tsp ground cloves – ¼ tsp ground ginger – ¼ tsp ground cardamom – 2 oz cream cheese, softened – 1½ cups granulated sugar – 6 tbsp unsalted butter, melted – 1 tbsp milk – 1 large egg – ⅓ cup vegetable oil – 1 tsp vanilla extract

HOW TO MAKE:

Combine flour, baking soda, cinnamon, salt, pepper, ground cloves, ginger, and cardamom in a large bowl.

HOW TO MAKE:

In a separate bowl, beat cream cheese and sugar, then stir in melted butter. 

HOW TO MAKE:

Mix in milk, egg, vegetable oil, and vanilla extract.

HOW TO MAKE:

Pour wet ingredients into the flour mixture and mix until combined.

HOW TO MAKE:

Scoop 1 ½ tbsp of dough onto a baking tray lined with a baking mat or parchment paper.

HOW TO MAKE:

Leave 3 ½ inches between each cookie.

HOW TO MAKE:

Flatten each scoop with the bottom of a glass to ¼ inch or thicker.

HOW TO MAKE:

Bake at 350°F for 11-12 minutes until edges are golden brown.
