APPLE PIE

cinnamon rolls

ingredients:

FOR THE DOUGH: – 1 large egg – 3 ½ cups all-purpose flour – 1 cup milk – ⅓ cup butter, melted – 2 ½ teaspoons yeast – ⅓ cup granulated sugar – ¼ teaspoon salt – Cooking oil, for greasing FOR THE APPLE PIE FILLING: – 1 can (21 ounces) apple pie filling – 2 tablespoons butter, melted – ¾ cup brown sugar – 1 teaspoon ground cinnamon FOR THE CREAM CHEESE FROSTING: – 2 ounces cream cheese – 1 tablespoon milk – 2 tablespoons butter – 1 cup powdered sugar – ½ teaspoon vanilla extract

HOW TO MAKE:

Whisk warm milk and yeast in a large mixing bowl.

Add whisked egg, melted butter, and granulated sugar. Let rest until frothy, about 10 minutes.

Mix in flour, remaining sugar, and salt until soft, sticky dough forms. Lightly flour surface, knead dough for 2 minutes until smooth.

Grease large bowl, place dough inside, cover with damp cloth, and let rise. After first rise, punch dough down, cover, let rest for another 30 minutes or until doubled in size again.
