FOR THE SPICED COOKIES: STEP 1: Preheat the oven to 350°F and line your baking tray with parchment paper. STEP 2: Mix the flour, baking powder, pumpkin pie spice, ground cardamom, clove, and salt in a large bowl and set aside. STEP 3: Beat the butter and sugars in an electric stand mixer on medium-high speed for 2 to 3 minutes. Scrape down the sides while mixing until the consistency is creamy and fluffy.

STEP 4: Stir in the egg and molasses to the butter mixture until well incorporated. STEP 5: Divide the flour mixture into batches, and add to the wet ingredients.
