PRIME RIB ROAST RECIPE

Ingredients:

– 8 lbs boneless prime rib, room temperature – 1 cup butter, room temperature – 1/4 cup coarse sea salt – 1/4 cup ground black pepper

HOW TO MAKE:

Cream room-temperature butter, slather onto prime rib.

HOW TO MAKE:

Season generously with salt and pepper.

HOW TO MAKE:

Place rib in Dutch oven, fat side up, uncovered.

HOW TO MAKE:

Cook at 325°F for desired doneness, 10-12 mins for medium rare.

HOW TO MAKE:

Turn off oven, wait 1-2 hours before opening.

HOW TO MAKE:

Transfer to cutting board, remove twine, slice.

HOW TO MAKE:

Garnish with thyme sprig, sliced garlic if desired.

What to serve with it?

Serve your prime rib roast in Dutch oven with classics such as green beans and roasted/mashed potatoes, or to give your plate color, a light salad or mixed steamed veggies.
