Apple slices

(without lemonade)

Ingredients:

– 3 fresh Gala apples – 2 cups granulated sugar – 1 cup light corn syrup – 6 drops red food coloring – 1½ cups water

HOW TO MAKE:

Dip apples in boiling water for 10 seconds, then transfer to an ice bath to cool. Pat apples dry and insert sticks halfway into the top of each one.

HOW TO MAKE:

In a pot over medium-high heat, combine sugar, corn syrup, and water, stirring until sugar is fully dissolved.

HOW TO MAKE:

Let mixture boil and monitor with a candy thermometer until it reaches 300 to 310°F, about 10-15 minutes. Remove from heat and quickly stir in red food coloring and edible glitter, if desired.

HOW TO MAKE:

Submerge each apple in the candy mixture, twirling for an even coating. Allow excess candy to drip off before placing apples back on baking sheet.
