Black Eyed Peas

INGREDIENTS

– 1 lb dried black eyed peas – 7 cups low-sodium chicken broth – 1 can diced tomatoes (14.5 oz) – 6 bacon strips, cooked and chopped – 1 cup ham, diced – 1/2 cup sweet onion, diced – 1 garlic clove, minced – 1/4 tsp kosher salt – 1/4 tsp black ground pepper – 1 tsp oregano

HOW TO MAKE:

Combine black-eyed peas, chicken broth, and tomatoes in the slow cooker.

HOW TO MAKE:

 Add remaining ingredients except salt.

HOW TO MAKE:

Stir, cover, and cook on high for 7 hours without opening.

HOW TO MAKE:

Season with salt to taste before serving warm.
