pumpkin spice vietnamese iced coffee, plus a giveaway!
oh, darlings. you are in for a treat today.
not only am i sharing this amazing recipe for my pumpkin spice vietnamese iced coffee, but i have an incredible giveaway, courtesy of Starbucks!
best Monday ever, am i right?
first, let’s talk about this insanely addictive iced coffee i made you. um, it’s out of control. like, so good that it’s a little scary.
don’t you love it when the most delicious things are also the simplest? that’s exactly how i would describe this vietnamese iced coffee. all it takes is four simple ingredients, and bam! best iced coffee in the whole damn world. really!
if this pumpkin spice vietnamese iced coffee had an appropriate mathematical equation to express how extraordinary it tastes, it would be as follows:
pumpkin spice syrup + freshly brewed coffee + half & half + sweetened condensed milk = OMFG.
yes, you read that correctly. not only does this iced coffee have half & half, it also contains sweetened condensed milk. hey, i never said to drink it every day! this is the type of beverage you indulge in. it’s special. classy. it’s the type of beverage to be sipped and savored while doing a crossword puzzle, or gossiping with your best friend.
trust me when i say that although you shouldn’t drink this every day, you’re totally going to want to. it’s pretty much become my new obsession.
i used Starbucks Iced Coffee Blend for this vietnamese iced coffee, and i highly recommend you get your hands on some as well. it’s the same iced coffee blend that’s served up at Starbucks stores, which means when you make coffee drinks at home it tastes even more like a real barista made it!
have you ever made cold brewed coffee? i really love it, but i’m not the type of person who thinks ahead enough to enjoy it. the night before you enjoy it, you have to grind the beans, let them soak in water overnight, and then strain that all the next morning. honestly, i just don’t have time to make it happen in my life.
thankfully, this Iced Coffee Blend is my savior! just like cold brewed coffee is a concentrate that you later mix with water, the Iced Coffee Blend is prepared in the same way. you brew up a small amount, mix that with cold water and voila! iced coffee, ready to be enjoyed. lazy me loves this very much.
you can make this vietnamese iced coffee with regular brewed coffee, but you’ll just need to let it cool completely before preparing your drink.
so, pumpkin spice vietnamese iced coffee sounds pretty damn good, right?
know what also sounds great? an awesome Starbucks gift pack that you can win!

Ok, first..everyone is so gaga over this pumpkin spice stuff. Pumpkin – blech! My current fave Starbucks drink is the iced salted caramel mocha. For the longest time my fave was the caramel mocha so I was glad when they started adding salt.

hi! i suppose i should’ve said it’s a vietnamese inspired coffee drink, as i am aware that true vietnamese coffee is prepared using a special filter and a particular grind. i promise i wasn’t trying to pull a fast one on you
i would love to make true, authentic vietnamese iced coffee soon!

I actually work at Starbucks in Australia and I am so SO sad that we still do not get Pumpkin Spice!!!! It is horribly mean! And I have been reading some of these other drinks – mean once again because we don’t get some of these. AND we don’t get any of the iced coffee stuff; we have only just got VIA! Gosh. I feel so left out.
My all time favorite drink is a Grande Iced Christmas Blend with Toffee Nut and a dash of milk. Possibly the best thing ever and I am amazing at making up drinks!
My other favorite is a Cookies and Cream Frappuccino – so a Double Chocolate Chip Frap but with White Chocolate rather than Dark Chocolate. BEST!

I would LOVE to win this… especially because I work nights, so I am always in need of caffeine.
My favorite Starbucks drink is a caramel macchiato in the winter, and an iced passion tea in the summer.

I like to get a Skinny Caramel Macchiato. I don’t usually like sugar-free things, but for a very once-in-a-while occasion, I go for it. (Also, I love cold-brewed coffee, wheeee!)
Josie — September 29, 2011 @ 8:59 pm
You might find this hard to believe, but I have never been to Starbucks. However, I have heard so much about pumpkin spice lattes at Starbucks that I’m thinking of taking the leap!
This recipe sounds SO yummy! Thanks for sharing.

My favrorite stbx drink? Cinnamon vanilla latte, otherwise known in my old indie shop as a snicker doodle latte.

I have so many favourites at Starbucks, but I look forward to the holiday and seasonal brews. This year, adding caramel syrup (not the drizzle! The barista will ask!) to the PSL – iced or warm, whatever my mood is.

This recipe could be dangerous in my hands. I’ve already discovered the joys of cold brewed coffee……and now that it’s fall, I’ve switched from my old standby drink, the good ol’ Peppermint Mocha, to the yummy Pumpkin Spice Latte. NOW I will have the victory of saving money but the struggle of limiting my coffee intake at home…..
